Welcome to the Uganda Martyrs Orphans Project
We care for children and youth whose futures are at risk because of the AIDS pandemic. Our program serves 1400 young people, providing them with food, shelter, security, education, and access to medical treatment.

The Shocking Facts -- AIDS Orphans in Uganda
The UN Human Development Report for 2001 estimated Uganda’s AIDS orphans at approximately 2.2 Million, or 13% of children below 15 years of age.
The number of orphans is still growing. We estimate that Tororo District, where we are located, has between 900-1200 new orphans every year. These vulnerable children are often forced into lives of poverty, illiteracy, petty crime, prostitution, hopelessness, and a heightened risk of HIV/AIDS.

Our Objectives
Our goal is to protect the health and well-being of all orphans and encourage them to become useful citizens in the community, in their schools and within their families. In this way, the entire community will be supported.
